There are 12 scales per earring. You'll find these to be amazingly lightweight and completely comfortable for all day wear. The ear wires are hypoallergenic surgical stainless steel.
Including the ear wire, the earrings measure 2-7/8 inches in length. They are 3/4 inch wide.
Aluminum is a lightweight metal that will not tarnish or rust, and is easy to care for. I only use high quality saw cut jump rings in my jewelry which allow for smooth closures that won't snag your hair or clothing. Polycarbonate is a strong, very lightweight plastic.
